We're getting closer. We're slowly getting there--although time is flying by!! I can't believe it's already the end of July.

We've got more stuff accomplished. We set up an appt for Mike's Amazing Cakes. Ever seen him on one of the Food Network Challenges? We saw him on the one where he did a cake that was Captain Hook and the Alligator. Or was it a Crocodile? It was so realistic looking, he really does do amazing cakes. www.mikesamazingcakes.com

I found my dress and Jeff found his wedding band. We put a deposit down for the food. Lots more to do, but we've made a dent. We've very laid-back people, our wedding planning has been laid back and the wedding & reception will be laid back.

The Date

We've chosen a date! Sunday, October 26, 2008. According to The Knot, that is 218 days away from now.

And I have made a decision!! I know, scary! Emily's going to be my maid of honor. So Jeff and I have decided on a date, a location in Everett, a theme and I have a maid of honor.

As Emily so graciously pointed out, we/I have decided on nothing else for the wedding. And she says I need to get my butt in gear.

She might be right :)

We're having another concert!

Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 7:30P. Sno-King Community Chorale featuring world famous pianist Walt Wagner. We'll be singing a Cole Porter medley and the wonderful, amazing John Rutter's Requiem. What a beautiful piece of music.

Yes it's true. After 6 years, we're making it official. Although by the time we get married, it'll be 7 years. We haven't set an official date yet, but we're looking at late Oct 2008.

10 months...

Well it's been a little less then 10 months since the last post. Bad I know. I finally joined the Borg aka Google Accounts. Depressing, but we all must be assimilated.

Let's see. What's been going on since last I wrote. Work has been really good. Been busy and we're expanding.

I'm still taking hula--this January will be 2 years. Amazing enough. It's been fun and exciting, but sometimes I wish we did some performances. We've only had 1 performance since I've been taking and while it's fun learning new dances, I wish we had some motivation to learn them for a performance.

I've also recently joined a chorale. Makes me sound like a horse whenever I hear that word. I prefer choir more. But anyhoot, it's part of the Edmonds Comm College, so technically I'm a student again ^.^ Our first concert is Nov 8th, a patriotic one. After that is our Holiday concert on Dec 8th. It's been challenging and I only wish I had joined ages ago. I first found the choir about 6 years ago or so, but I didn't join. I'm one of those people who likes a strict instructor and I used to hate it when people would talk in class and disrupt everything. So I decided not to do it, just in case it was going to be like that and now I definitely wish I had joined. Oh well.

Jeff and I are going to Vegas next month for my cousin's wedding. Should be fun! Vegas isn't really my kinda town, but I haven't been since I was a kid so it'll be interesting.

As most of you know, Jeff and I bought our first place. It's a cute condo in Snohomish. It's almost brand new and the lady who moved in first was only here for about 5 months. So it's pretty exciting. And unlike our last place, our neighbors are quiet and very nice. Snohomish High is pretty close to us and we can see the football field from here. We got a free fireworks show last night.

That's about it really. Kitties are doing good. Oh and Ozzy actually likes our new home, she's being so nice and friendly! It's eerie really to be able to pet Ozzy and she'll sit there and purr at you. She's not completely sane yet, but much closer then before!! ^.^

We're Back

and were greeted with rain, cold weather and snow! We had fun in Hawaii but it was fun to have snow! I'll get a couple pictures posted up here soon, but Jeff is also working on getting our pictures online. We took more then 2 gigs of pictures ^.^ Digital cameras can be fun sometimes.

It's countdown time! We're leaving this Friday. Havana was sitting there staring at me over her shoulder and I told her we were going to Hawaii. She flattened her ears, squinted her eyes, turned around to face the wall and flicked her tail at me. I guess I know what she thinks about us leaving!!

Hawaii...Here we Come!

Yep, we're going to Hawaii. We'll be gone for 10 days in November to Oahu. I can't wait! We did a whole bunch of tourist stuff last time with hardly any time spent on the beach. This time I plan to spend a lot of time on the beach interspersed with some tourist stuff.

We were kinda waffling about whether we should go to Hawaii this year and then everything just kinda started to fall into place with going so we said-Let's Do It!

I'm an Aunty again! Brennan was born on Sept 3rd at 11:55P. He was 3 weeks early so he's a wee bit tiny, but sooooo cute! Jeff and I went to go see them in the hospital today. I got to hold him and he's so adorable. He was sleeping for most of the time. Towards the end he started to wake up, but he had a hard time opening his eyes. You could see him thinking that eyelids were the strangest things and so heavy to open...He gave it his best shot though! How exciting!

Jeff and I had gotten my other nephew, Cameron some presents so he wouldn't feel left out. By the time we got there though, he had already gone home so he didn't get to see his presents. Oh well...as long as he knows it's from us because I'm still working on being his favorite aunty! eheheh

Have I mentioned that I think Ozzy got abducted by aliens? It's been 2 weeks now since we moved and not 1 hiss have I heard from her--well, directed at me. She's always hissing at Jeff because he's constantly picking her up and holding her like a baby and generally harrassing her. Now, anyone who knows Ozzy or has heard any stories about her, realize what an accomplishment 2 weeks is. It's actually Unheard of. I'm dumbfounded with Ozzy...I think she likes the place. Or maybe it has to do with the fact that right next door to us is Ozzy #2. Looks just like her except half her size. (Ozzy is a wee bit chubby)

We Moved!

And we're still alive. It was hard and tiring and I must say thanks again to our helpers. Our new place is great and we're working hard at unpacking. I would say we're about half-way done. Maybe more.

I promise to post some pictures soon. I found everything I need except the cable to attach to the camera so I can download onto the computer. It's in the same box where all the other important/don't lose stuff is. I remember grabbing it and putting it in a box so I wouldn't lose it...

The night before...

It's the night before the big day! It's been a weird week...my cousin Kalani broke his foot this past weekend and my brother Brian has a sore back and a sore ankle/leg. Both were to help us move. My brother will still be there, but I did tell him it's ok if he didn't show up because he's injured. While it appeared that things were going to be difficult with our move--it's turned out alright I think. I found someone to take my cousin's place so we're still ok!

I'm so excited...and I just can't hide it...I'm about to lose control and I think I like it...

Or however the song goes. The kitties are cute. Every once in awhile you'll see a cat peek from behind our pile of boxes and watch you. Then slowly disappear again.

1 week to go before we move! It's the busiest time for packing and cleaning. I'm excited to be moving though. Jeff's worried that we won't be ready in time, but I have faith we'll be all set. And thankfully we have more people helping us move this time. So it should go much quicker and easier then it did last time!

Well it's official now, we're moving from the Ghetto. Tucker is excited to be closer to his grandparents aka my mom and dad. From June 1st, we'll be living in Mukilteo...yes, I'm moving back home...eheh just kidding. Although my dad does expect me to be at their place for dinner every night now. Which I'm not opposed to really ^.^

I'll be about a 5 min drive to work on a bad day. I'm pondering taking up biking or even roller blading to work on nice days...that'd be considered exercise though and I dunno if that's allowed.

Pictures will be forthcoming when we get some taken. And it will be immortalized as the cleanest it'll be until we move again. Just kidding Jeff. I promise to keep it clean...well as clean as I can.

the band not the hardware variety. Jeff and I saw Tool this past Tuesday the 2nd at the Paramount. It was great-an incredible concert ^.^ There wasn't an opening band so it was just Tool for about 2 hours. It was the same day their new album was released but this was all their old songs plus I think a couple new songs. We were really lucky to get tickets, I heard they sold out in 46 seconds. We were in the very last row near the center but they were really great seats.

My cats are all better now. They got over their colds. Which is good because I didn't like it when they'd come over to see me only to sneeze on me...ewwww!

It's Easter this weekend! My mom said she's making me an Easter basket. I asked her if I could do an Easter egg hunt and she thought I meant I wanted to hide eggs for my adorable nephew. But nope, I had to clarify that I want to actually Look for the hidden eggs :)

She laughed at me but then she said she guessed she could hide some eggs for me. Oh yes, this should be fun!

The Ghetto

We live in the Ghetto. Not only in the Hood as in LynnHood but in the Ghetto as in...well, our apartment complex sucks. Not only do the people suck, but the management sucks. The management is pretending that our apartment complex is high class. They painted the outside, jacked up the rents and pray that nobody really knows that it's the Ghetto.

Sick Kitties...

My babies are sick. Well three of them are, Ozzy has once again scared away any flu bugs who considered harrassing her. Did you hear about the cat who's on actual house arrest because he(?) keeps terrorizing the neighborhood? I thought one of the neighbors even took out a restraining order against the kitty. It reminds me of Ozzy. But when Inside Edition showed the cat inside his house, he seemed so nice and normal. Now if Ozzy had a cameraman and a reporter daring to enter her domain not only would she be hissing like the psycho she is, but they'd have to chase her all around the house to even tape her :) But you could only laugh as Ozzy runs because her belly's so fat that it jiggles back and forth. And if you're really lucky, when she runs and hisses at the same time she runs out of breath so it's these short funny stacato hiss hiss hiss hiss hisses. Ah Ozzy is very entertaining, but Anywhoooo...

My babies are sick.

It started with Tucker sneezing and watery eyes and then Havana got really sick. She was drooling almost constantly and sneezing and watery eyes not eating and sleeping all day and now Nori's sneezing. Tucker has been better for a few days and Havana is still sickly but is Finally starting to feel better. The past 2 mornings she's back to waking me up starting about 6:00A and every hour until I get up. Tucker and her were chasing each other around all evening yesterday. And the day Nori started sneezing he laid on my shoulder in bed and then sneezed all over me...twice. Ahhhh yes, that was nice of him :) Nori's still not feeling too good, but he's not any worse which is good.

I love you all and I know you love me back...

But I Love Korn. And not Corn the food...Korn the band. We went to their concert on Sunday at the Tacoma Dome. *shudder* Tacoma is...well Tacoma. But it was so cool. We also saw 10 Years and Mudvayne. And Korn played all my favorite songs.

I'm also in love with the drummer, David Silveria. I think Jeff's at the point where he's shaking his head at me because of my crush...

Today was Tucker's birthday, he's 2 years old now. Jeff got him this cat toy that's like a regular fishing rod and you cast the cat toy and reel it in. The kitties Love it.

My parents and I went to Oregon for a work meeting and after that we took a mini-vacation. We went to the the coast, which is the first time I've been--well, at least the first time I remember going. Every time I say I've never been somewhere, my mom says that I Have been.

Over the past year I've reconnected with a lot of people I had lost touch with. It's been very exciting to see how & what everyone has been doing lately. I really plan on keeping in better touch with everyone. Friends from childhood, family friends, school friends, old co-workers...it's been fun. Even seeing people I went to school with on the different myspace & friendster sites has been a trip. I also met the final member of Jeff's group of friends from when he was younger.

Jeff and I have been to Hawaii, Oregon, Idaho, Eastern Washington, Missouri and even a quick layover in Colorado. And that was just last year alone...can't wait to see where we end up this year.

Multiple vacations, 2 weddings, a jaunt to pick up a bass amp for Jeff...I think I've been bit by the travel bug...

I see that Kelley hasn't updated this in a little while, so I guess I'll finally jump on this train and ride around for a little while. Speaking of trains, we went on one last weekend to the ol' Wenatchee. It was a fun trip although nothing's changed there. In fact, nothing ever changes there. Very status quo if I must say... but it's all good because that's what hometowns are suppoded to do... or not do.

Mom & Dad got a new big screen tv so we watched (we as in my dad, my brother and I... Kelley was upstairs watching tennis/sleeping) the Seahawks game. (Whooo... Hoooo....)

I'm going to be an Aunty again!!!!!! My brother just called me to say that they're having another baby and the baby's due in September!!!! How exciting!! Wow, here I am saying I don't have anything to post and I find out I'm going to be an Aunty again.

Train Ride...

Jeff and I are going on a train ride this weekend. We're going to Wenatchee for a couple days. Dropping off Jeff's parent's Christmas present. Should be fun! I've only taken the train once before a few years ago and while it was dark outside and no visibility, it sure was fun. And this time, we're taking the train home as well--Yes it's true! I'm going to wake up at 5:00A! You heard me right, 5 in the Morning. For anyone who knows me, they know how I like to sleep. The only plus to this is that I get to see the scenery finally.

The kitties are staying home to guard the place. (I guess really that it'll be Ozzy guarding the place and everyone else running and hiding.) Unfortunately, the only animals allowed on the train are seeing companions. I'll miss my babies.
